Will cake absorb smell of other food?

My roommate brought some food back from Red Lobster in one of those styrofoam take-home boxes and the whole fridge smells like it now. I have a cheesecake sitting in the fridge that I do NOT want to smell like his food. I went and bought baking soda to put in the fridge and also wrapped the cake in a plastic bag (it is also encased by a plastic cover so the plastic bag is like a second shield) and then stuck the cake in the crisper drawer and shut the drawer tight. Do you think the cake will still absorb the smell within 2 days? :\
