How to use Lip Chic lipstick sealer?

I have purchased lipchic sealer after hearing many friends reccomend it highly, several promising it would keep my lipstick on even overnight. however when i use it, shortly after it dries it begins to peel off like cellophane taking the color with it. i use it according to the instructions, blotting off excess color first, keeping my lips spread apart until it dries....what am i doing wrong. how do i make it work?
