How do you make instant dashi?

I'm trying to make oyako donburi. I bought a little box of instant dashi, but was too absentminded to check for english directions on the package! They seem to be in little bags that are eight grams each. If someone could tell me how to prepare the dashi, from package to when I can use it, that would be wonderfu. Thank you!
