What do you think of this idea for our wedding favors?

I'm trying to come up with DIY wedding favors and we both agree that we want it to be something edible and chocolate. I was thinking of either making those delicious oreo cookie balls or brownies and putting them in their own cellophane bag with our wedding colors as the ribbons with a card that has our names and wedding date on one side and "Thanks for Making Our Wedding Day Sweet!" There are no diabetics coming to our wedding, so I know that basis is covered. We were thinking that it might be nice to do that because everyone says how good our home made brownies and candies and cookies are. Otherwise, we'll probably just end up buying those salt and pepper shakers shaped like doves or something. But we thought it might be nice for us to do something more personalized like fresh baked goods. Thoughts?
